BIRTHSTONE PENDANTS
 
Our Birthstone pendants are a great way to celebrate a person’s birthday or any special occasion. These pendants typically feature a gemstone that corresponds to the month of birth. The tradition of birthstones dates back to ancient times when different gemstones were thought to possess certain qualities and powers. The idea of associating stones with specific months emerged in the 16th century, and birthstone jewelry became popular in the 19th century. Every month has a corresponding birthstone, and each gemstone is believed to have its unique meaning and symbolism. For example, January’s birthstone is garnet, a stone that signifies love, passion, and friendship. February’s birthstone is amethyst, which is said to promote calmness and tranquility. Birthstone pendants come in a variety of styles, from simple and elegant to elaborate and ornate. Birthstone pendants can be   a versatile accessory that can be dressed up or down.

 

Sterling silver (or STS) is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by mass of silver and 7.5% by mass of other metals, usually copper. The sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925. Fine silver (99.9% pure) is generally too soft for producing functional objects; therefore, the silver is usually alloyed with copper to give it strength but preserving the ductility and beauty of the precious metal.  They do not require a Hallmark but maybe stamped 925 if possible, to denote Sterling Silver.

Gold plated consists of a thin layer of Gold applied over another affordable metal such as copper.
